The Wheels

Revolution wheels are built for just one person, you. Like a fine suit or a custom frame, time is taken to understand the needs of the rider. Unlike the 'off the shelf' wheels each build is specific to the needs of the rider. We only use the best components, ones that we have used, abused, raced and rated. Like most things in life the devil is in the detail, when building a wheel you need to make sure the spoke tension is right. Revolution wheels go further, washer the spokes - the spokes last longer so do the wheels.

We also tie and solder the wheels, from Paris - Roubaix through to world cup downhill the pro's comeback to it time and time again. It adds that extra stiffness to the wheel noticeable in better handling under load and in accelerations.

The Man

Revolution Wheels was founded by Chaz Curry, cycling since the age of four, racing since the age of seven. Bike mechanics have been a theme throughout his racing career which has spanned most disciplines. Having been a professional mechanic for over a decade now and building wheels for almost as long. Once he started building wheels Chaz quickly realised that he could do better than most branded wheel sets that were on the market.

The Reputation

Being small Revolution Wheels relies on its good reputation, so far such esteemed names as Dave Lloyd and Sean Yates rely on Revolution Wheels. Dave Lloyd, a former olympian and now a top coach, used the wheels as part of his perfect bike. In this article he described Chaz as a "master of the lost art of wheel building".
